Colts vs. Eagles Preview

The Eagles are back in action this Sunday after their bye week and they take on Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts.

Philly needs a win in this one to keep pace with the NFC East division-leading New York Giants. The East is shaping up as a two-team race the rest of the way with Jerry Jones' Cowboys sitting at 1-6 and the Redskins on the verge of imploding after Head Coach Mike Shanahan decided to bench Donovan McNabb when his team needed him the most.

The good news for the Eagles is the return of both Michael Vick and DeSean Jackson. If the Birds secondary struggles to keep the Colts offense out of the end zone at least they now have the necessary firepower to try and keep pace.

I still have a bad feeling about this one as Indy has won the last four meetings between the two and Manning is once again playing at a very high level. I had this game penciled in as a loss before the season started, but with the Eagles ugly meltdown against Tennessee, this almost becomes a must-win game.

  2. My common sense tells me that Peyton Manning will find a way to win this game for the Colts but my gut tells me that a Michael Vick TD pass to DeSean Jackson late in the fourth quarter proves to be the difference.
