With training camp in full swing and the regular season opener a little more than a month away, the odds makers have set the 'over/under' for total wins for all 32 NFL teams.
While I have been towing the conservative line for the Birds, thinking that 9-7 gets them into the playoffs, secretly my expectations are much higher as I believe that Kevin Kolb is set up to have huge year.
While there are plenty of questions marks, especially with the offensive line and defensive secondary, the talent level on this team is as high as it has been in recent memory. If the Eagles can avoid any devastating injuries and the young studs continue to develop, there really is no limit to how far this team can go.
That being said, I'm still flying under the radar with this year's team by keeping my predictions in line with the general consensus coming out of the NFL brain trust of experts and analysts.

2010 Training Camp Preview- July 23rd
Next week the Eagles will return to Lehigh University (my Alma Mater) in Bethlehem, PA. for the start of their 2010 training camp. Rookies and select veterans are set to report on Monday, July 26th and the rest of the squad will join them on Thursday, July 29th. This will be Andy Reid’s 12th training camp as Philadelphia’s head coach and perhaps the most interesting one of his tenure.
The big story out of Lehigh this year will be the development and progress of their new starting quarterback; Kevin Kolb. All eyes will be focused on his every throw as the immediate future of this franchise is firmly in his hands after the Eagles decided to part ways with longtime starter, Donovan McNabb this past offseason.
There is no doubt in my mind that Kolb has all the physical tools to be a top notch QB in the NFL. The big question is does he have the right mentality and temperament to deal with the Philadelphia media and fans as they scrutinize his every move. As long as he plays well everybody will love him, but the minute the wheels come off the wagon they will turn on him like a pack of hungry wolves.
There is also no doubt he can throw the ball. In two starts last season he threw for 718 yards and four TD’s. He became the first quarterback in the history of the NFL to throw for two 300 plus yard games in this first two starts. Also keep in mind he threw three interceptions in the game against New Orleans, exhibiting a lack of patience in the pocket. A lot of time has passed between then and now as he has had the chance to settle into the role of being the No. 1 guy. Starting next week he will get the opportunity he deserves to be there.
