This year's NFL draft is less than a week away with the first round kicking-off on Thursday night. The second and third rounds will be conducted on Friday night and the final four rounds will held on Saturday afternoon.
Most mock drafts still have the Eagles taking a defensive lineman with the 15th overall pick in the draft. Look for the Birds to pull the trigger on Mississippi State defensive tackle Fletcher Cox, if he happens to still be available when they are officially on the clock. Right now it looks like Carolina may snag him with the the ninth pick so the next best available choice would be Michael Brockers from LSU. He is 6-foot-6 306 lbs and the premier run-stopper in this year's draft; racking-up 79 tackles in two seasons with the Tigers. He would certainly plug a major hole in the Eagles' defensive line and can be used to take some pressure of the linebackers and secondary, which has had their share of problems stopping the run in the past.
With LeSean McCoy coming off a Pro Bowl season, these is little chance that Philly would take a running back in the early rounds, but the following is a link to my preview of the top four backs available in this year's draft as originally posted on Bang the Book
