Sunday Night Football- New York Giants @ Philadelphia Eagles

It's Showtime in the NFC East with first place on the line when the 6-3 New York Giants come to town on Sunday Night in a primetime matchup with the 6-3 Eagles.

First things first, let's put last week behind us. Everyone knows that the Giants got pasted by the Cowboys 33-20 while the Birds and Michael Vick put an offensive show for the ages in their 59-28 romp over Donovan's Redskins.

Wipe the slate clean because when these two teams get together anything can happen. The Eagles have won the last four games but the G-Men won three straight before that. The Eagles came out on top 45-38 last December as a one-point favorite, but the underdog in this series had won the previous six games before that.

Both of these teams appear to be the class of the NFC and the winner will undoubtedly be crowned the odds-on-favorite to go all the way to the Super Bowl, but championships are won on what happens after Thanksgiving, not the week before. Do not get me wrong, this is a huge game with major implications for winning the East, but the loser is by no means out of the race.

I like the Eagles' chances in this one, but there will be no going to bed early like last Monday night as this game could very well come down to which team has the ball last.

Below is a link to my full preview of Sunday night's game as originally posted on Cappers Picks.
